Akalappuzha
Akalappuzha is a beautiful backwater lake located in the Kozhikode district of Kerala. It is often called the "Kuttanad of Kozhikode" due to its beautiful backwater landscape. Calm waters, lush greenery, and the presence of small islands such as Pamban Thuruthu are some of the specialties of Akalappuzha. Akalappuzha is a growing tourist destination offering boating services (including shikara and pedal boats) and recreational activities. The beauty of the backwater gained more attention after the Malayalam movie Theevandi was shot here.
